About The Position

An equipment operator in the packaging department will be required to run one or more type of packaging machine. The operator is required to follow all safety and quality requirements and be able to meet productivity expectations consistently. The packaging equipment includes the S-Line (16 & 22 Lb. spools), the A-Line (1 Lb. Spools), 1Lb Pack Line, Drum Pack, and TIG machine. Functions Load and unload 190 and/or 600 lb. reels by rolling them into and out of the payoff mechanism Able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a continual basis Set up and change over the machine efficiently Perform quality checks per control plans Follow safety protocols and operate in a safe manner Transfer data/information clearly and accurately Operate the machine at specified production rates Ensure correct information is on the label and apply all labels to product Troubleshoot basic issues on the equipment Work overtime as needed Operate a forklift (Drum Pack Only) ITW is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements

  • Flexible, open-minded team player
  • Good math skills
  • Detailed oriented person keeping errors to a minimum
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written practices
  • Consistently shows up to work on time and is at their machine ready to work at start of shift
  • Good mechanical aptitude that allows operator to operate and troubleshoot equipment effectively
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and crouch regularly

Responsibilities
