Packaging Operators are involved with safely and efficiently operating packaging machinery and material movement equipment, identifying and implementing equipment improvements to increase plant reliability, and communicating with colleagues and supervisors regarding productivity issues. They perform duties related to product distribution, loading/unloading trucks, and supporting packaging lines. Responsibilities also include performing tool preventative maintenance, keeping equipment clean, maintaining process materials records, and ensuring good housekeeping practices. Operators are expected to keep log records for optimal handover to other shifts and understand and perform physical inventories. The role requires a safe work attitude and practical knowledge of industrial safety standards.
