About The Position

Theodore, AL: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a skilled Packaging Operator to support efficient packaging operations within a manufacturing environment, ensuring products are accurately packaged, labeled, and prepared for shipment in accordance with quality and safety standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Experience operating packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are a plus
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols
Forklift certification is a plus
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
Capable of working in environments with dust, noise, and varying temperatures
Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed to support 24/7 operations

Nice To Haves

Experience operating packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are a plus
Forklift certification is a plus

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor packaging equipment, including fillers, sealers, labelers, and conveyors to ensure efficient performance
Package finished products into appropriate containers (bags, boxes, drums, etc.) according to specifications and work orders
Inspect packaged products for quality, including proper sealing, accurate labeling, and container integrity
Ensure all labeling is accurate, including lot numbers, product codes, and required compliance information
Maintain accurate production and packaging records, including quantities and any discrepancies
Perform routine equipment maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments
Follow all safety procedures and properly utilize personal protective equipment (PPE)
Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment
Collaborate with production team members to coordinate schedules and resolve operational issues
Assist with additional production tasks, including material handling and quality checks as needed
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
