About The Position

The Packaging Operator is responsible for bagging all finished product and loading raw materials into the system per standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the Quincy Crosswind facility. The role requires following the expectations of all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards, ensuring product quality expectations are met, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area. The operator will also participate in communication meetings, mentor new colleagues, and work overtime as specified by management.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Strong fundamental skills in math, reading, writing, and verbal communication.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to act professionally and adhere to ADM's Code of Conduct.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated with a solid work ethic.
  • Maintain excellent attendance.
  • Strong safety aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Bag all finished product and load raw materials into the system per SOPs.
  • Ensure product quality expectations are met.
  • Follow all facility Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and complete housekeeping duties.
  • Communicate production issues with Operations colleagues.
  • Participate in morning toolbox and shift exchange meetings.
  • Provide mentoring and training to new colleagues.
  • Meet or exceed KPI goals set by management.
  • Utilize action register to communicate issues in production.
  • Participate in Safety Engagement activities.
  • Place finished product in proper packaging as per batch ticket.
  • Verify lot number, manufacture date, product code, and label.
  • Operate forklift and bagging equipment.
  • Replenish packaging materials and liquid totes.
  • Fill out production paperwork and complete checks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Leadership.
