About The Position
The Packaging Operator at Mars will serve as a multi-skilled packing associate, tasked with ensuring the maximum efficiency of our packing lines while upholding the highest safety and quality standards. This role is critical in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing environment, where the operator will be expected to maintain excellent packaging line efficiency in accordance with the set plan. Any deviations from the standard or plan must be escalated promptly to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to operational excellence. In this position, the operator will be responsible for the safe and correct operation of all packing line equipment and plant. This includes supporting peers in achieving the highest safety, quality, and efficiency standards throughout the packing hall. The Packaging Operator will also be accountable for achieving packaging scores and ensuring that cleaning regimes are upheld to the highest standards. Active participation in operational processes that support the improvement of business performance is essential, as is maintaining effective communication with all operations staff to create maximum efficiency. Monitoring and testing adherence to standards is a key responsibility, with the operator expected to resolve any breaches in a timely and effective manner while maintaining communication with relevant stakeholders. This role is integral to the overall success of the packaging operations at Mars, contributing to a purpose-driven company that strives to build a better tomorrow.
