About The Position

Our mission is to create products that improve lives—from convenient meals to life sciences innovations. We're looking for a Packaging Operator to join our Production team on 3rd shift. In this role, you'll be hands-on in preparing, packaging, and ensuring high-quality products that reach customers worldwide. The Packaging Operator is a skilled and experienced team leader responsible for overseeing daily packaging operations on the production floor. This role combines hands-on operation of packaging machinery with leadership responsibilities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality packaging of finished goods.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college or technical training a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience operating manufacturing equipment, preferably in a food or GMP environment.
  • Strong leadership experience, organizational, communication, and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry, digital forms, and manufacturing systems.
  • Basic math and unit conversions.
  • Ability to read and follow SOPs, work instructions, and technical documents.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods of time.
  • Reliable transportation required, with flexibility to travel between company locations.
  • Consistent, dependable attendance is essential to support production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production equipment, and lead activities of others working on the line, ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Perform machine changeovers, adjustments, and minor troubleshooting as needed.
  • Conduct basic maintenance and cleaning of machines according to SOPs.
  • Maintain production flow and report equipment or process issues promptly.
  • Accurately complete production records and quality checks in real-time.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and regulatory standards.
  • Enter production data into digital systems (e.g., MES, ERP, or spreadsheets) as required.
  • Identify and correct documentation errors or escalate them to supervisors as needed.
  • Report non-conformances or quality concerns immediately.
