About The Position

The Purchasing Packaging Manager at JBS USA is responsible for overseeing the daily packaging operations at the Tolleson plant, focusing on inventory management, vendor relations, and cost reporting. Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Prior work experience in purchasing preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Word, SAP and similar software.
• Ability to learn and solve problems effectively.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively via verbal and written formats.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Flexibility of schedule preferred.
• Prior work experience in food manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day packaging duties at the JBS USA - Tolleson plant.
• Work with scheduling on forecasting accurate inventory levels.
• Maintain inventory levels to accommodate production needs.
• Manage and oversee buyers in the Purchasing - Packaging department.
• Plan and implement supply chain strategies for packaging items and supplies.
• Optimize packaging space and ordering patterns.
• Verify team member duties and responsibilities.
• Manage inventories and make recommendations for improvements.
• Streamline processes and enhance methods of communication.
• Analyze costs and seek cost reductions.
• Report weekly cost variances to budget.
• Ensure proper reporting of inventories.
• Communicate and interact with various levels of management inside and outside of the organization.
• Participate on various teams and projects as opportunities arise.
• Identify weekly variances in packaging reporting and find solutions.
