The Packaging Manager is a motivated, detail-oriented, and highly accountable leader responsible for managing all packaging operations across all shifts and teams. This role oversees department-wide performance, ensuring machine setup, line clearances, packaging, palletizing, documentation, and cGMP compliance are executed with exceptional quality and consistency. The Packaging Manager builds and leads a loyal, attentive, and motivated team that supports Gummi World's commitment to excellence.

  • Manage, lead, and motivate packaging teams across all shifts, ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality operations throughout the department.
  • Ensure machine setup, operation, changeovers, and breakdowns are executed with precision, safety, and strong attention to detail.
  • Maintain and improve production levels, quality standards, and operational efficiencies set by upper management.
  • Oversee all product quality checks and ensure proper documentation is completed accurately and promptly for each lot.
  • Develop and manage staffing schedules for all shifts, adjusting start times, end times, and workdays as needed based on business demands.
  • Ensure proper inventory and availability of all materials (bottles, caps, labels, bags, boxes, pallets, ink, etc.) needed for uninterrupted production.
  • Collaborate closely with Maintenance and other department leaders to plan, coordinate, and track equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Learn, operate, and maintain all key components of the packaging lines; develop structured training and cross-training programs for team members.
  • Provide consistent communication and updates to upper management regarding packaging performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee all departmental paperwork, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Enforce corrective actions and support employee development with coaching, follow-up, and performance tracking.
  • Conduct weekly Production/Safety meetings to reinforce quality, attentiveness, safety, communication, and teamwork.
  • Ensure seamless communication between shifts and maintain operational consistency throughout all hours of production.
  • Uphold and enforce company policies and procedures, including safety programs, cGMP compliance, and good housekeeping standards.
  • Foster a culture of loyalty, accountability, continuous improvement, and strong motivation within the packaging department.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by upper management.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with 1+ years of lead/ supervisor experience,
  • Food, Beverage and/or Dietary Supplement cGMP working knowledge.
  • Clear, concise, oral and written English communication skills.
  • AA, BA, BS in supply chain management, manufacturing management, logistics, engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of direct experience supervising packaging operations and teams in a dietary supplement or confectionery manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of direct experience in a lead operator position in food or dietary supplement manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Lean, 5S, etc.
  • HAACP Certification
  • Bilingual: Spanish/ English
