About The Position

Looking for a promising career in light manufacturing and are mechanically inclined? DIY Media Group is seeking a candidate with high energy and strong attention to detail to join our Packaging team. In this role, you will deliver finished discs and other products to musicians, videographers, and corporate customers. You’ll learn the proper operation of light industrial robotic machines and/or shrink wrappers that assemble jewel boxes, DVD cases, etc. Located just outside Philadelphia, in Pennsauken, NJ, DIY Media Group is the parent company of the industry-leading brands Disc Makers and BookBaby. We help musicians, authors, and filmmakers make their dreams come true by manufacturing high-quality CDs, DVDs, books, and providing other services independent artists need! Available Shift: 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 11 AM – 7 PM on-site at our HQ in Pennsauken, NJ. This is a 5-day, 40-hour work week, with occasional overtime as business requires.

Requirements

  • Mechanically inclined
  • Willing to learn different skills and cross-train
  • Have an attention to detail and quality
  • Possess the ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions
  • Have knowledge and ability to apply basic safety rules and practices
  • Have strong math skills
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and carry it short distances
  • Standing for extended periods of time, up to 100% of your working hours

Nice To Haves

  • Machine operation experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented production environment
  • Learn to operate packaging machines, such as Gima disc packaging and Shanklin wrappers
  • Contribute to a positive, high-energy, diverse team environment to provide a high-quality product
  • Receive cross-training and be an active participant in continuous improvement initiatives
