About The Position

As a Packaging Line Worker, you will be responsible for assigning tasks and providing direction to the packaging staff. You will initiate and release production lines at the start of shifts and batch commencement, ensuring the smooth operation of the packaging process.

Requirements

  • Experience in pharmaceutical production and quality checks.
  • Knowledge of GMP, SOP, bottling, packaging, production, batching, packing, and compounding processes.
  • Ability to work as a Line Leader and collaborate with Quality Assurance teams.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of experience working in production for a pharmaceutical company.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor line operations for correct weights, lot numbers, expiration dates, and product scanning.
  • Calculate and record tare weights for packaging components in Filling Instructions.
  • Review batch documentation for accuracy and submit paperwork for upcoming batches.
  • Set up and oversee cleaning and filling validation batches according to protocol.
  • Receive and manage labels for specific orders; verify label and packaging component counts against pick lists and reports.
  • Process and return unused labels to the Label Room or Batch Clerk's Office.
  • Confirm accuracy of components and products per Filling Instructions.
  • Print pallet tickets and quarantine tags for finished products.
  • Record counts electronically or in pallet logs and update line status in logbooks.
  • Conduct line clearances and document returned stock.
  • Perform SAP transactions such as Return to Stock (RTS) using scanning devices.
  • Set up electronic marquees with product information for production lines.
  • Calibrate scales and checkweighers daily or when relocated.
  • Inspect cleaned parts on the production line and record daily packaging throughput, changeovers, and labor reports.
  • Provide performance feedback on operators and collaborate with production management, mechanics, and Quality Assurance.
  • Assist in training new employees.
