About The Position

The Packaging Line Operator is responsible for the total operation of manual, semiautomatic, and automatic packaging lines, ensuring quality control and efficient production processes. This role involves training Packaging Operator Trainees, performing light preventative maintenance, and maintaining a smooth flow of production. The position requires effective communication and adherence to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in production/processing areas and machinery.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform repeated bending, lifting, and standing for long hours.
• Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Ability to work off shifts, including overtime.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Knowledge of specific production/processing areas and product items.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities of Packaging Operator Trainee and train as needed.
• Perform all job duties of Packaging Operator Trainee when required.
• Oversee the total operation of manual, semiautomatic, and automatic packaging lines and powder presses.
• Ensure quality control, material procurement, line setup, and adjustment of products within specifications.
• Conduct light preventative maintenance and maintain communication to operate the line effectively.
• Train Packaging employees and observe work to ensure proper procedures are followed.
• Maintain a smooth flow of production in the work area.
• Assist in the operation of the department with a focus on GMPs, quality control, safety, and housekeeping.
• Document and supply incoming components and bulk to the packaging lines and finished products to the staging area.
• Perform all duties of a Packaging Operator and ensure ongoing upkeep of the line.
