About The Position

WESTPAK is looking to support the future of the packaging industry with our continual efforts in partnering to provide relevant work experience. We are seeking a summer Intern. The ideal person will have a great opportunity to learn what Package Testing involves and gain valuable onsite opportunities to bond and become an active participant in WESTPAK culture. Our Packaging Testing Intern will: · Learn the basic understanding of testing standards defined by ISTA and ASTM standards and how they relate to the customer’s requirements and to WESTPAK Quality Management System. · Receive hands-on experience conducting client requested package testing. · Accurately conduct testing and data management under the guidance of a packaging engineer. · Ensure order accuracy and quality through document control, standard operating procedures, and auditing. · Provide pre-and-post support as it relates to packaging, as needed. · Maintain WESTPAK 5S and various site standards and expectations. Requirements for Eligibility · Current enrolled in an Engineering, Packaging or Packaging emphasis, or equivalent technical education degree · Ability to read and interpret documents such as protocols, industry specifications and procedures. · Understanding packaging fundamentals · General tool knowledge (hand tools and light power) · Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism. · Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and general computer literacy · Math skills: Basic algebra, statistics, and geometry · Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism. Requirements

  • Current enrolled in an Engineering, Packaging or Packaging emphasis, or equivalent technical education degree
