About The Position

Packaging Equipment Setup and Maintenance Specialist Location: Reno, NV Imagine this A forming line is slated for a new product. You step up, review the work order, consult the OEM manual, and configure the machine. As the run begins, you keep a close eye on safety and quality, adjusting settings so the equipment performs at its best. A minor fault pops up—you diagnose it quickly, make the fix under supervision, and production keeps moving. Your mission Prepare, monitor, and fine‑tune forming equipment for reliable, efficient output Handle routine preventive maintenance and simple repairs with guidance Support modifications or larger repairs in partnership with maintenance Interpret diagrams and manufacturer documentation to inform your work Leverage a deep understanding of forming equipment to solve problems Provide hands‑on troubleshooting in the Forming HP area Collaborate across the team and take on other tasks as assigned by your supervisor

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Solid mechanical foundation with basic troubleshooting skills
  • Clear communication plus basic computer and math proficiency
  • Ability to read basic English and work confidently with machine shop tools
  • You’re comfortable in hot, dusty production areas and can stay on your feet for long periods.
  • The role involves frequent movement around the plant; climbing stairs; bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; handling tools and controls; pushing, pulling, and reaching, including overhead.
  • Visual needs include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to refocus.
  • You can lift and carry 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Schedule flexibility Because production levels vary, hours may expand or contract.
  • Weekend or partial‑weekend shifts may be scheduled, and you could be called in outside your typical hours.
