Packaging Equipment Service Engineer (Field)
About The Position
Ready to be the go-to expert for complex packaging systems? If troubleshooting electro-mechanical machinery, delighting customers, and living on the road energize you, this role is built for you. You will be the hands-on engineer customers trust to install, stabilize, and optimize equipment performance. Your impact Own on-site installs, inspections, and preventive maintenance across a variety of packaging platforms. Hunt down root causes in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems; perform fast, durable fixes. Calibrate and test equipment to spec; manage parts ordering and replacements. Coach operators and maintenance teams on operation and basic care to maximize uptime. Capture detailed service notes and closeout reports in company systems. Tune packaging systems to customers' products and production requirements for better throughput and quality.
Requirements
- Mechanical/electrical troubleshooting mastery and strong diagnostic instincts.
- Fluency in reading electrical and pneumatic schematics and technical drawings.
- On-the-spot problem solving and sound judgment at customer sites.
- Clear communication, professionalism, and a customer service mindset.
- Reliable time management; punctual response to service needs.
- Adaptability to changing schedules and varying shifts.
- Independent work ethic; proficiency with digital tools; comfort with metric measurements and tolerancing.
- Technical certification or an associate’s degree in electro-mechanical or related field.
- 5 years in packaging equipment industry.
