In this role, you will execute solutions on packaging design and usage and related safety, quality, delivery, and cost. What you can look forward to doing in this role:

Requirements

  • A working knowledge of Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Extensive experience in Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • A working knowledge of Packaging: Knowledge of packaging tools, approaches and practices; ability to package products and components safely and in a way that protects part quality.
  • Extensive experience in Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with leading and driving Continuous Improvement that drives cost saving efficiency.

  • Strong time management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Modeling Software (Creo, Teamcenter, etc.)
  • Packaging and or transportation knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Designing packaging for products or parts; providing detailed guidance and specifications to suppliers.
  • Identifying parts and material suppliers to determine the optimal method of packaging product for various distribution networks.
  • Following procedures in approving all packaging for a specific product line.
  • Monitoring and evaluating quality and effectiveness of existing packaging; addressing issues caused by transportation damage.
  • Evaluating packaging materials, automation technologies and machinery, and reporting the results regularly.
