About The Position

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
  • Mechanical aptitude and desire for hands on work.
  • Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general production support for machining and/or assembly areas by participating in hands-on troubleshooting issues and providing technical assistance.
  • Troubleshoot shipping damage claims to determine how to resolve issues.
  • Consolidate and document WIP packaging used within manufacturing.
  • Assist in the designing of and implementation of packaging solutions.
  • Research and suggest ideas for ways to improve packaging for existing products while working with cross functional engineering teams.
  • Create packaging specifications using AutoCAD.
  • Load and update specifications within manufacturing database.
  • Load and maintain packaging components within manufacturing BOM’s.
