About The Position

MilliporeSigma in Danvers, MA is seeking a Packaging Engineer to execute projects that support the packaging strategy for Mobius Single Use products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering or other technical or engineering field
• 1+ years of experience in the design, development, and implementation of packaging including new materials and processes

Nice To Haves

• Experience in pharmaceutical or medical device packaging
• Experience with ASTM and ISTA standards regarding sterile packaging and transit simulation/ship testing
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience working on cross-functional teams
• Experience with Packaging Validations
• Experience with FMEA's or Risk Assessments
• Knowledge of manufacturing concepts
• Knowledge of Mobius Single Use products and manufacturing processes
• GMP knowledge

Responsibilities

• Develop tools and materials required to implement predictive packaging
• Collaborate with R D to develop packaging solutions for new products in the early stages of development
• Be the key resource for packaging technical expertise for the product line and provide guidance to ensure packaging systems comply with internal and external customer and quality requirements
• Develop and author Risk Assessments, User Requirement Specifications, Standard Operating Procedures, Validation Protocols/Reports, Purchase Specifications, and Customer Summary Reports
• Collaborate with suppliers and Procurement on packaging change controls, expansion projects, and technical and/or quality issues
• Collaborate with Operations at all 3 manufacturing sites (Danvers, China, and France) to evaluate potential impacts to production/processes on change controls and when introducing new packaging components
• Provide technical support on packaging quality issues and to Operations on packaging-related issues
• Participate on cross-functional project teams to achieve site objectives
