About The Position

Packaging Engineer Fall/Winter Co-op 2026 We will consider qualified applicants of all ages who are starting (or restarting) their careers At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows an onsite work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at least four days per week. Relocation assistance may be available to those who meet the eligibility criteria. As a Packaging Engineer Co-op, you'll provide focused engineering support across functional teams that drive integration, remediation, and business continuity activities. You will contribute to initiatives supporting design verification, packaging design, product validation, supplier quality, and regulatory requirements—while also gaining exposure to tools such as Windchill and Cognition Cockpit. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering.
  • Must graduate between Fall 2026 - Spring 2028.
  • Must be able to commit to the full Co-op program period: July 13th-December 18th, 2026.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization.
  • Must have reliable transportation to commute to and from the Boston Scientific Global Headquarters in Marlborough, MA, Boston location.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of coursework in Distribution Packaging and Packaging Materials.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to build relationships and collaborate with internal and external teams.
  • Previous internship or co-op experience (not required but beneficial).
  • Experience using ArtiosCAD is a plus.
  • Familiarity with change control systems and database tools (e.g., Windchill, Cognition Cockpit).

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support that meets functional area objectives across packaging, validation, and design transfer initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to technical teams.
  • Use product lifecycle management and collaboration tools (e.g., Windchill, Cognition Cockpit).
  • Conduct data analysis and gap assessments.
  • Complete and manage change notices.
  • Support packaging and product-related verification and validation efforts.
  • Assist with regulatory and compliance activities related to packaging design.
  • Contribute to design transfer and packaging/production support tasks.
  • Draft or update processes, protocols, and specifications using standard tools.
  • Prepare proposals, reports, and documents using Microsoft Office and engineering software.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety and product quality through compliance with Boston Scientific's Quality Policy and procedures.
