About The Position

QPI is seeking a Packaging Designer to support the design and prototype development of packaging solutions. This hands-on role will primarily assist the lead designer with cutting and assembling samples using CAD tools and prototyping equipment. The position is ideal for a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with a background in industrial or package design.

Requirements

  • Proficient in ArtiosCAD; knowledge of SolidWorks is a plus
  • Strong math skills, particularly in geometry
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal guidance
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or Packaging Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Cut and assemble packaging prototypes using a Kongsberg cutting table
  • Maintain and enter specs into the QPI database
  • Support the design team by completing assigned tasks on schedule
  • Update and manage project tracking tools (e.g., design center project list)
  • Adapt to workflow changes based on customer demands
  • Uphold company safety protocols and design quality standards
