About The Position

The Packaging Designer will play a crucial role in revitalizing product packaging and enhancing brand identity for a consumer packaged goods (CPG) company. This ongoing project, expected to last 2-3 months, involves collaborating with marketing and product development teams to innovate and update packaging designs that resonate with consumers. The role requires a strong understanding of packaging design principles and branding strategies, particularly in the food/snack sector.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in packaging design, branding, and logo design, specifically within the CPG industry.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of packaging design projects and brand identity work.
  • Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
  • Experience in project management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to innovate and update packaging designs that align with the brand vision.
  • Develop and present design concepts for new and existing products, focusing on innovation and consumer engagement.
  • Work with existing market research to understand consumer preferences and industry trends, applying insights to design decisions.
  • Create and refine logo designs and brand identity elements that enhance product appeal.
  • Design seasonal packaging that reflects current market trends and maximizes sales opportunities.
  • Select color palettes and typography that align with brand standards and resonate with the target audience.
