About The Position

The Packaging/Box Room Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring smooth, efficient operations across both the packaging area, Form packaging, and the box room. This position leads and supports a team of hourly team members, guiding daily workflows to keep production running safely and on schedule. Responsibilities include overseeing shipment verification, maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing products for shipment, supporting waste‑recovery processes, and ensuring quality on the hanging line. The Supervisor also ensures proper maintenance and safe operation of box‑making equipment while driving continuous improvement and supporting a positive, team‑focused work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma; additional vocational or college courses preferred.
  • 1+ years in a manufacturing environment and prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office software – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Poultry experience preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Champion a strong safety culture by promoting safe work practices throughout all assigned areas.
  • Ensure all reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Partner closely with Quality Assurance to maintain a food‑safe, sanitary operation that meets all USDA and company standards.
  • Establish, adjust, and improve procedures to meet production schedules, efficiency goals, and budget expectations.
  • Drive performance by maximizing yields and throughput while reducing downtime, accidents, and turnover through effective coaching and team‑building.
  • Ensure full compliance with food‑safety programs, including HACCP, SSOPs, and GMPs.
  • Prepare the department for daily operations, including verifying staffing and readiness.
  • Monitor and control waste, including product, supplies, and labor utilization.
  • Train, develop, and guide team members on production processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Complete end‑of‑shift documentation and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support department and facility goals.
