Timken Distribution Center is currently seeking a 3rd Shift Carton Printing Operator for its facility located in Duncan, SC. Monday-Friday 11pm-7am, plus overtime as required. Requirements

18 years of age
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Ability to read and interpret documents written in English. Documents include information such as safety rules, work instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to complete production forms.
Ability to communicate effectively in English with co-workers and plant leadership.
Protective-toe shoes required at all times while on the plant floor.
Employee should be proficient in: Working in a production environment
Machine Operating Experience

Responsibilities

Gather necessary supplies, which may include the use of powered industrial equipment.
Verify quality prior to use, including fitness of cartons/boxes to support product weight.
Inspect cartons/labels for accuate information or visible defects prior to delivery to packaging areas. If errors are found, take appropriate action to restore accuracy.
Set up, change over, and perform troubleshooting on all printing equipment.
Download printing information from computer verify accuracy of all data. Edit as required.
Perform a test print and ensure information, barcodes, formatting, and placement of all text is correct and legible.
Communicate with other work areas in order to resolve problems that may arise.
Perform other miscellaneous duties such as filling out standard forms and keeping work area clean and orderly.
