Timken Distribution Center is currently seeking a 3rd Shift Carton Printing Operator for its facility located in Duncan, SC. Monday-Friday 11pm-7am, plus overtime as required. Requirements

  • 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents written in English. Documents include information such as safety rules, work instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to complete production forms.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with co-workers and plant leadership.
  • Protective-toe shoes required at all times while on the plant floor.
  • Employee should be proficient in: Working in a production environment
  • Machine Operating Experience

Responsibilities

  • Gather necessary supplies, which may include the use of powered industrial equipment.
  • Verify quality prior to use, including fitness of cartons/boxes to support product weight.
  • Inspect cartons/labels for accuate information or visible defects prior to delivery to packaging areas. If errors are found, take appropriate action to restore accuracy.
  • Set up, change over, and perform troubleshooting on all printing equipment.
  • Download printing information from computer verify accuracy of all data. Edit as required.
  • Perform a test print and ensure information, barcodes, formatting, and placement of all text is correct and legible.
  • Communicate with other work areas in order to resolve problems that may arise.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties such as filling out standard forms and keeping work area clean and orderly.
