About The Position
This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking full-time or contract-to-hire employment in the packaging industry with one of our clients located in Fond du Lac. The role involves various responsibilities centered around the packaging process, ensuring that products are inspected, bagged, sealed, and boxed efficiently. The work environment is dynamic, requiring employees to be attentive to detail and capable of handling physical tasks associated with packaging operations. The first area of responsibility involves inspecting 7 lb. products as they come off the conveyor line. Employees will check for any defects before placing the products onto another conveyor line for bagging. Attention to detail is crucial in this role to ensure that only quality products proceed to the next stage of packaging. In the second area, employees will slide the inspected products into air-filled bags, which are then sent to a sealing machine. This task requires dexterity and the ability to work quickly to maintain the flow of production. The third area involves aligning the bagged products into the sealer machine, where they will be sealed before moving on to the packaging stage. The final position is in the back as a boxer, where employees will oversee an automated boxing process. They will ensure that products are being boxed correctly and will address any jam-ups that may occur in the machinery. Additionally, employees may assist in the Brine room, which involves walking up and down step ladders to maintain a continuous flow of products on both levels. If any products become wedged, employees will use a poker to move them along, ensuring that the production line remains efficient.
