About The Position

The Packager is responsible for preparing and packaging parts according to the Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensuring they are ready for shipping. This role emphasizes attention to detail, quality inspection, and basic problem-solving skills to maintain high standards in packaging and shipping processes.

Requirements

• Experience in packaging and production environments.
• Ability to perform inspections and maintain quality standards.
• Familiarity with using hand tools and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read work orders and instructions.
• Physical ability to lift, pack, stack, and wrap up to 50 pounds regularly.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with pallet jacks, RF scanners, and material handling.
• Skills in inventory, labeling, loading, shipping, and receiving.

Responsibilities

• Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality standards before painting, checking for any defects or inconsistencies.
• Package painted parts according to the Bill of Materials (BOM), selecting appropriate packaging materials and methods to protect the parts during transit.
• Place packaged parts in designated areas for shipping, ensuring all parts are correctly labeled and organized.
• Use basic problem-solving techniques to address any routine issues that arise during the packaging process, such as troubleshooting equipment or adjusting processes to improve efficiency.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors, which can vary depending on the needs of the production line.
