About The Position

Great benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance eligibility, 401(k) retirement plan with a company match, plus paid time off and paid holidays Job Duties : The Yogurt Packager / Operator will package finished product either by hand or by operating or tending packaging machines or equipment in order to prepare yogurt for storage or shipment. Secondary duties may include, but not be limited to, cleaning and sanitation, milk separation, standardizing milk with powders and cream, CIP, and ferment tank operation, and other related duties as assigned. Pack yogurt into containers, cartons, or bags in a timely manner by tending or operating packaging equipment. Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools. Prepare supplies and labels, and verify and record product, packaging, or order information on specified forms and records. Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met. Sort, weigh, and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications. Verify accuracy and correctness of product identification labels and attach to finished packaged items. Remove finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items. Palletize packaged product. Move pallets of product in and out of production areas. Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards. Stop or reset packaging machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor. Must adhere to all GMP, safety, and production rules and regulations established by the Company and other requirements. Must keep and maintain extreme cleanliness of all equipment and work areas due to sensitivity of yogurt to bacteria and mold. Other related additional duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

Requirements

Cheese/food industry experience is preferred but not required.
Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
A good attendance record is required.
Candidate must be a team player.
Employees are required to stand the duration of the shift, with frequent and repetitive bending, stooping, turning, reaching, grasping and lifting up to 50 pounds.
