About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Package Interface Manager to support one of the most iconic and consequential infrastructure initiatives in the United States - the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). We are working in partnership with Parsons and Mace as part of the MPA Delivery Partner team, selected by the Gateway Development Commission to deliver this transformative project. The HTP is a critical component of the broader Gateway Program - one of the most ambitious and impactful transportation initiatives in the nation - and is designed to strengthen mobility, enhance resiliency, and ensure the long-term reliability of the Northeast Corridor. The project encompasses the construction of a new, two-track rail tunnel beneath the Hudson River, along with the full rehabilitation of the existing 113-year-old North River Tunnel. This vital infrastructure supports more than 200,000 daily passengers via Amtrak and NJ TRANSIT and serves as a backbone for economic activity and connectivity between New York and New Jersey. Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in managing interface coordination and integration on large-scale projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Experience in coordinating multiple stakeholders and resolving interface conflicts.
  • Proven experience in interface management on heavy civil construction projects, with a focus on tunnel projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, project management principles, and package interactions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to address complex interface challenges.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic construction environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the central point of contact for interface-related matters, coordinating communication among package managers, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration and alignment across project packages by organizing regular meetings, addressing interface challenges proactively, and facilitating resolution of potential conflicts.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive interface management plan outlining critical package interactions.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify, assess, and mitigate interface-related risks.
  • Ensure changes to project scope or specifications are evaluated for their impact on interfaces, with adjustments made as needed.
  • Track and report on interface progress, risks, and issues through accurate documentation and regular updates to project management.
  • Maintain detailed records including meeting minutes, issue logs, and resolution plans to support informed decision-making.
  • Work with contract administrators to ensure interface-related requirements are documented and enforced.
  • Support resolution of interface-related contractual disputes and implement quality assurance measures to ensure compliance with project standards through routine reviews and inspections.

  • The salary range for this position is $155,000 - $203,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
