About The Position

Spee Dee Delivery is a family owned and operated company that was started in 1978 by Donald and Sylvia Weeres. Our core business is in standard, next-day, ground delivery. The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and over the years we have expanded throughout the Midwest. Job Summary The Package Handler/Parker will ensure vehicles are unloaded, washed, and parked in a timely manner and help with the sortation of freight. Hours and Wages Monday-Friday, 4:00PM-8:00PM $18.50-$21.50 per hour, based on experience Duties and Responsibilities Drive empty fleet vehicles to the appropriate location to be washed and parked Oversee truck washing employees to ensure all vehicles are washed thoroughly Park fleet vehicles in the appropriate route docks Carry a radio and report vehicle swaps to leadership Communicate with the Fleet Maintenance departments regarding vehicle changes Support warehouse staff with sorting freight Sort, load, and unload freight in a safe and accurate manner Perform other required duties as assigned Skills and Abilities Ability to operate a manual transmission, or have the willingness to learn Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently Education and Experience At least 18 years of age High school diploma or equivalent preferred Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards Physical Requirements Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight weighing up to 100 pounds Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals Benefits 401(k) Plan EEO and Affirmative Action Statement Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
