About The Position

In the Package Engineering intern position, you will contribute to tasks focused on specific project initiatives, such as package development and testing support, results evaluation, conducting plant trials, developing pallet patterns and coordinating with manufacturing plants and suppliers. Utilize critical thinking skills to plan and coordinate individual activities that contribute to project results: Hands-on development activities at our Technical Center or in our manufacturing plants Coordinate and perform independent and team experiments in laboratory and plant settings Presentation of project results and findings to leadership upon completion of internship Potential for significant travel to manufacturing plants and fill locations could be required (50-70%)

Requirements

  • Engineering or Technology program with a minimum of (1) year of academic experience
  • Capable of working in both individual and team settings
  • Seeking highly energetic, creative, and motivated individuals
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Be an active student in an engineering or technology program
  • Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future work authorization or visa sponsorship for employment.
  • Pass a drug screen and background investigation

  • Software: Excel, CAD, FEA, MinitabComfortable problem solving electrical and mechanical systemsComfortable working in a manufacturing plantUnderstanding of ANSI standardsUnderstanding of SPCStrong interpersonal and communication skillsBe able to travel within US (preferably be 20 in order to rent a car)
