To support that challenge, the Packaging team is currently seeking a Package Co-op in Greensboro, NC. As a co-op you will be responsible for supporting our packaging engineer’s development, maintenance and cost reduction projects. You will interface closely with all groups (i.e., Formulation Development, Purchasing, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Commercial, Country Contacts, etc.) associated with product commercialization and are expected to utilize available technologies, knowledge and communication resources to maintain Syngenta’s industry leading reputation in packaging.   • Oversee and manage complete packaging development process, including the creation of packaging designs, prototype development, performance testing and regulatory compliance for agricultural chemical products registration, transportation, storage, and use.
  • Provide troubleshooting support to adjacent supply chain functions (procurement, manufacturing, quality, etc.), to ensure a safe user-friendly customer experience.
  • Identify and implement cost saving initiatives related to packaging materials, labor, efficiency, transportation, and storage.
  • Contributes to New Product Introduction (NPI) teams ensuring all packaging related milestones are completed on time.
  • Knowledge of package technologies, materials and testing related to the development of new packaging components.
  • Implement innovative and sustainable packaging solutions that maximize our competitive advantage and build brand preference.
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Packaging Science, or another closely related field of study.
  • Must be a current student continuing education upon completion of internship term (Graduation date of December 2026 or AFTER).
  • Prefer a student with a Sophomore or Junior standing.
