About The Position

Kenvue is currently recruiting for a Package Development Engineer II in R&D. This role is crucial for leading the development of new packages and improving existing ones for the Skin Health Franchise. The individual will be responsible for all required specifications, documentation, and package testing to support product release. They will work independently with moderate supervision and take a leadership role in packaging projects, influencing and interfacing with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. The position primarily supports New Product Innovation/Development.

Requirements

  • A minimum of BS degree in Packaging, Engineering, or a related Science discipline is required.
  • Advanced degree is preferred.
  • 4 years minimum experience in Cosmetic/Personal Care or related industry is required.
  • Knowledge of materials and processes used in construction and manufacturing of packaging such as Extrusion/Injection molding and Dispensing systems (airless, pumps).
  • Solid understanding of a broad spectrum of packaging materials, structures, components, and related conversion processes is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple constantly evolving priorities with minimal supervision is required.
  • Experience in package line trials and package testing is preferred.
  • Strong technical writing/documentation skills are preferred.
  • Experience with GMP requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of new packages and improve existing packages for the Skin Health Franchise.
  • Manage all required specifications, documentation, and package testing to support product release.
  • Work independently with moderate supervision.
  • Take a leadership role with packaging projects.
  • Influence and interface with cross-functional teams including Global Engineering Associates, Research & Development, Marketing, Project Management, Design, Operations, and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Utilize creative problem-solving abilities and a sound technical background.
  • Support New Product Innovation/Development.
