About The Position

COTY is looking for smart leaders who are fast and passionate. The QVC Package Developer leads the introduction, development, and ongoing technical management of products for the QVC Supply Chain according to project brief. The role tracks and execution of the Supply Chain Packaging activities required to bring a project to the production floor on time and without interruption. Work will include item setup in SAP and SAP R D, assembly instructions, designing tertiary, testing and working with the commercial team to provide relevant data to the customer. Additional projects could include cost savings or end-to-end supply chain initiatives. At times, the role will develop and execute tasks related to support new initiative project work and partnering with the site packaging engineers/leaders.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree with equivalent experience in design and testing within consumer goods and/or pharmaceutical industry
  • 5+ years' experience in a laboratory environment, preferably with package testing laboratory
  • 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or ISTA Laboratory Professional CPLP Technician Certification or equivalent is preferred
  • Working Knowledge of 49 CFR requirements related to shipment of Hazardous Goods
  • Knowledge of Lean Tools such as process mapping and standard work, root cause problem solving, as Value Stream Mapping, and Design of Experiment
  • General knowledge of the physical nature of materials and tooling which produce rigid and flexible packaging such as glass, injection molding, tubes, folding cartons, etc.
  • Decoration techniques of above commodities
  • CGMP (Cosmetic Good Manufacturing Practices) per ISO 22716

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing according to written test protocols and direction from customer
  • Comply with corporate global and local Policy, Process, Standard Work
  • Record, calculate, and report progress and test results to management and project teams
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of completed testing, including samples, according to record retention protocols
  • Develop and specify distribution packaging components
  • Work within SAP to create components and Bills of Materials
  • Create components and bill of materials within SAP R D
  • Define, Create, and Approve component specifications
  • Propose and prepare revisions to increase effectiveness of process and testing protocols
  • Participate in Cycle and Flow Time reduction for department activities and develop standard work
  • Execute project level work based on a defined scope
  • Performs submission of all Quality Documentation for each kit for QVC
  • Execute every kit to an approval status with QVC marketing and QVC Quality Assurance
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to aid timely product movement out of factory from start to finish
  • Implement package changes enhancing COTY Sanford's ability to meet Service (Efficiency), Cost (Cost Reduction), and Quality (Right First Time) targets
  • Collaboratively with manufacturing and quality assurance resolve component and specification issues for existing packages
  • Follow all site GMP policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
