We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Package Designer to develop engaging, brand-driven packaging for brand toys, activity craft kits, and novelty compounds. This role is responsible for bringing products to life on shelf through compelling visual design while ensuring all packaging meets regulatory and production requirements. As a key member of the Creative team, the Package Designer will collaborate closely with Art Direction, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to deliver innovative, high-quality packaging that supports product launches and enhances the overall consumer experience. This role requires strong design skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in packaging design (toy, craft, or activity category preferred)
• Strong understanding of brand-driven packaging and consumer appeal
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or related field
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Knowledge of packaging materials, printing, and production processes
• Strong attention to detail, especially with safety labels and instructions
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams

Nice To Haves

• Illustration skills or experience creating kid-friendly graphics/characters is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design engaging, consumer-focused packaging aligned with brand standards
• Photograph products and enhance visuals for packaging and marketing use
• Create packaging comps, mockups, and prototypes for internal review
• Collaborate with Art Direction, Design, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams
• Ensure compliance with child safety labeling, warnings, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare print-ready files and coordinate with vendors through production
• Support trade shows, retail displays, and marketing initiatives with graphics
• Manage multiple packaging projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Maintain organized files and documentation to support efficient production workflows
