Entegris is currently seeking a Chemical Operator II to join our CVD/ Distillation Hall team. This position will be based in our Burnet facility. This position will mainly consist of labeling/packaging containers before and after fills. Working with the team members to prepare and segregate materials for the different processes. Ability to be trained on the electric and non-powered pallet jacks as well as the potential to assist in chemical pours if/when needed. The ability to manually manipulate up to ~50lb packages and identify deficiencies in packaging labels before sending off to the customer. Shift schedule is night shift, 7AM-4PM Monday-Friday. THIS POSITION IS A CONTRACT POSITION AND YOU WILL BE A MANPOWER EMPLOYEE. CONTRACT DOES NOT HAVE A HARD ENDING DATE AND POSSIBILITY TO BE CONVERTED TO A PERMANENT EMPLOYEE BASED ON PERFORMANCE. What You’ll Do: Initiate, monitor, and troubleshoot batch-distillation processes: Oversee the entire batch-distillation process from start to finish, ensuring the safe handling and processing of multiple hazardous chemicals. This includes setting up equipment, monitoring the distillation process, identifying and resolving any issues that arise, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Collect and submit chemical samples: Use a variety of glass and Teflon vials to collect chemical samples at different stages of the process. Accurately label and document each sample before submitting them to the laboratory for detailed analysis. Ensure that all samples are handled according to safety and quality standards. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain distillation equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficient operation. This includes cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts as necessary. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and report any major issues to the supervisor. Utilize SAP for production management: Use SAP software to manage the production schedule, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and according to plan. This includes creating and completing work orders, transacting inventory, and printing labels for finished products. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the system to support production planning and reporting. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards: Adhere to all company policies and regulatory requirements related to the handling of hazardous chemicals and the operation of distillation equipment. Participate in safety training and drills, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and suggesting enhancements to processes and procedures
