Kraft Heinz in Cedar Rapids is looking for candidates that want to make great soups! This role is for a highly skilled operator, capable of being flexible and working in multiple different positions as required from day to day. The operator should have solid knowledge of bag prep, spice, hand pre-weigh and all products’ requirements, and be able to identify any quality concerns with the ingredients, allergen labeling or cleans/changeovers. The Cedar Rapids plant operates on a 3-shift basis, is a non-union facility with approximately 200 hourly staff members (a mix of temporary and full-time associates), and is 100% dedicated to Food Service, featuring 4 bag soup lines, 1 tub line, 18 Kettles, 5 Filling lines, and 4 packaging lines, producing Frozen Soups and Macaroni & Cheese. The company's history in Cedar Rapids began as Ashby Soups in the mid-1980s, later becoming Quality Chef Foods, acquired by Heinz, and eventually merging into Kraft Heinz in 2015.
