PACE Occupational Therapy Assistant
About The Position
Join our interdisciplinary team at Midland Care, a proud provider of PACE services, dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults by supporting their independence and quality of life. Midland Care’s Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is a not-for-profit health care program that helps people at risk for needing nursing home care who meet a level of care requirement stay in their own homes and communities. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to provide therapeutic interventions that help our participants achieve functional goals in community and home settings.
Requirements
- Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- One year experience working with frail and elderly.
- Must possess a valid Kansas Driver’s License, in force automobile liability insurance and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization’s insurability standard as defined by Midland policy, if driving is required.
- Availability of reliable transportation may be required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Document progress and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members.
- Educate participants and caregivers on adaptive equipment use and home safety.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning discussions.
