PPL Corporation is looking for Engineering Interns for the summer of 2026, specifically from May 18, 2026, to August 7, 2026. This internship program is designed for college students enrolled in accredited four-year institutions, providing them with practical work experience in their field of study. Interns will have the opportunity to explore various career paths within PPL Electric Utilities, particularly in Transmission, Substation, and Distribution Engineering departments. The internship is hybrid, allowing students to gain familiarity with a corporate environment while developing practical skills. Interns will be assigned a supervisor and a mentor, and will work on day-to-day tasks as well as a project, which they will present to PPL leaders at the end of the internship. The role is safety-sensitive, requiring interns to report any medication that may impair their ability to perform safely.

  • Actively work to improve the state of the Transmission and Distribution grid.
  • Meet the growing need for electricity.
  • Enrolled in a curriculum leading to a baccalaureate or master's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university program.
  • Have an acceptable cumulative GPA, not lower than 2.5.
  • Be a rising junior, senior, or graduate student.
  • Ability to travel within the service territory required.
  • Possess a valid driver's license from state of residence.
  • Will graduate from their academic program within 12 months of internship completion.
  • Eligible to work in the United States in accordance with USCIS regulations.
  • Able to provide an official student transcript and other required information.
  • Able to work hybrid, in a team environment.
  • Able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
