The Patient Access ED Registrar reflects the mission, vision, and values of Amplify RCM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. This position reports to the Patient Access Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for patient registration, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient information. As the first point of contact for patients and families, you must demonstrate excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations. A key aspect of this role is ensuring compliance with the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) by following hospital policies and federal regulations related to patient intake, triage, and medical screening requirements.
