About The Position

The Jamestown Family Health Clinic (JFHC) operates a nationally recognized model of care dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare. Owned and operated by the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe, JFHC is a Tribal Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving both Tribal citizens and non-Tribal community members. We provide care to over 18,000 patients with satisfaction scores that consistently exceed national benchmarks. Rooted in the belief that community wellness is deeply connected to environmental health, JFHC offers a care experience built on relationships, collaboration, and long-term sustainability. As the largest family practice clinic on the Olympic Peninsula, we provide a team-based environment that supports both patients and providers alike. We are seeking a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) who brings a strong clinical foundation to patient care and values teamwork, connection, and compassionate practice. In this role, you’ll provide comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages from newborns to seniors, supported by an experienced, multidisciplinary care team and leadership committed to your success and well-being.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Physician Assistant program accredited and recognized by the State of Washington.
  • National Certification (NCCPA) and active, unrestricted WA State PA license.
  • Current DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certification.
  • Clinical competence in primary care, chronic disease management, acute care, and medication administration.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and participate in program development.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting physical exams, diagnostic evaluations, and managing treatment plans.
  • Providing preventive care, chronic disease management, and patient education to promote long-term wellness.
  • Performing therapeutic procedures and managing acute illness and injury.
  • Collaborating with our integrated care team to ensure coordinated, seamless patient experiences.
  • Managing medications in partnership with on-site clinical pharmacists.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation within the EPIC electronic health record system.
  • Participating in quality improvement, professional development initiatives, and program development activities.
  • Assisting with after-hours and weekend on-call coverage as scheduled.

Benefits

  • Balanced Schedule: Enjoy a 4-day work week with a sustainable patient volume. Your normal patient load is 16–18 patients per day, but you have the flexibility to see more if you choose—up to a maximum of 22 patients. Providers are compensated for seeing additional patients beyond the standard 16–18. This allows you to control your schedule and productivity while being rewarded for extra work.
  • Outpatient-Focused Practice: Primarily outpatient care with limited after-hours/on-call responsibilities; no inpatient rounding.
  • Exceptional Support: High Nursing/MA-to-provider ratios, two on-site Clinical Pharmacists, and dedicated EHR “elbow support.”
  • Collaborative Environment: Work alongside Behavioral Health, Orthopedics, Dermatology, and Chronic Pain Management specialists.
  • Meaningful Programs: Certified Diabetes Education, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), Dedicated Immunization RN Specialist, Transitional Care Management, and Population Health initiatives.
  • Loan Repayment Opportunities: HRSA and IHS loan repayment eligibility available.
