About The Position

The YMCA Loudoun is looking for fun, enthusiastic, and responsible part-time male Sr. Group Leader to join our amazing team. This position is responsible for assisting the Site Director in the daily operations of the program that includes planning, development and implementation of all the before and after school activities under the guidelines of the YMCA School Age Curriculum.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Clear the local jurisdiction requirements for criminal background and/or fingerprinting.
• Must have the critical skill of being able to relate to parents, school staff and children and have a positive, creative attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assists in oversight of all program activities, communicating with families and ensuring all equipment and supplies are available.
• Effectively carries out appropriate lesson plans
• Establishes structure and routines for children setting boundaries and behavior guidelines
• Responsible for the safety of the children at all times, including understanding and being able to implement emergency procedures as necessary
• Attends parent/child events as required
• Effectively communicates with parents throughout the program year
