About The Position

Point72’s Operations team supports all operational aspects of trade processing, reconciliation, financing, and reporting firmwide for all products, including equities, derivatives, bonds, foreign exchange and futures, and digital assets across global markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product control, P&L, or operations at a hedge fund, asset manager, or investment firm.
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments across multiple asset classes.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Superior problem‑solving and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with offshore teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily and monthly P&L reconciliations between front‑office and back‑office systems for the firm’s global investment portfolios.
  • Partner with Trade Support, Back Office, and Valuations teams to investigate and resolve P&L breaks across asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and derivatives.
  • Produce clear, accurate daily P&L variance reports and communicate key drivers and findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Finalize portfolio manager P&L in front‑office systems based on thorough variance checks, calculations, and analytical review, directly impacting investment decisions, investor reporting, and compensation processes.
  • Respond to P&L inquiries from portfolio managers, traders, and investment services colleagues, providing timely, well‑reasoned, and insightful responses.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance accuracy, control, speed, and efficiency within P&L reconciliation and analysis workflows.
  • Support management with team‑level initiatives and firm‑wide projects, including cross‑functional efforts and process enhancements.
