P/FP Design Project Manager
About The Position
B2Q Associates is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plumbing & Fire Protection (P/FP) Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary design projects and support the continued growth of their engineering team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong technical background, leadership capability, and a passion for delivering high-quality P/FP system designs across higher education and industrial/manufacturing projects. Over time, this position offers a clear path toward becoming a technical leader or market expert, with opportunities to shape design standards, mentor teams, and contribute to business development.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years in plumbing & fire protection engineering design
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Civil or similar Engineering discipline
- Experience managing engineering projects from conceptual design through construction while maintaining schedule and budget
- Ability to interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems, and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and within budget
- Interest or experience in water conservation, electrification, energy efficiency, and resiliency
- Experience writing specifications
- Depth of knowledge of Building, Energy Codes, and NFPA Standards
- Depth of knowledge with AutoCAD and Revit
Nice To Haves
- Certified Plumbing Designer and/or EIT preferred
- Professional Engineer’s (PE) License not required, but also preferred
