About The Position

The P.E. Teacher at Eisenhower Middle School is responsible for meeting all qualifications and behavior standards set by the Kansas Department of Education. This includes holding a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and a valid Kansas Teacher’s Certificate with appropriate endorsement. The role requires professional verification of successful classroom teacher performance and/or student teaching experience. Key responsibilities involve communicating high expectations, incorporating technology, implementing district-adopted curriculum, developing effective lesson plans, integrating various assessments, administering standardized tests, maintaining student behavior and records, creating a positive and safe learning environment, effective communication, supporting the District’s educational mission, maintaining confidentiality, and performing other assigned tasks. The position offers a potential sign-on bonus and an annual stipend for Kansas ESOL licensed employees.

Requirements

  • Meet all qualifications and behavior standards as set by the Kansas Department of Education
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • A valid Kansas Teacher’s Certificate with appropriate endorsement
  • Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performance and/or student teaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Communicates effectively and promotes positive interpersonal relationships
  • Supports the District’s educational mission for all students and implements all Board regulations and policies in a fair and equitable manner

  • Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as the principal or superintendent may assign
