About The Position

The position involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks that require light physical effort and the use of hand or lightweight powered cleaning equipment. Specific instructions are provided on what to clean and the methods to use. The role includes maintaining cleanliness in various areas, ensuring that bathrooms are sanitized and stocked, and identifying issues with buildings and equipment. Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to safely operate all equipment and tools associated with custodial projects.
• Familiarity with OSHA's Safety Standards.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals and make minor repairs to equipment.
• Knowledge of all floor systems and finishes used at the College.
• Ability to efficiently operate all floor machines including side by side, high speed buffer, and concrete polisher.
• Detail-oriented and proficient in cleaning all areas of buildings.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of cleaning tasks requiring light physical effort.
• Follow specific instructions on cleaning methods.
• Help with setups when needed.
• Properly vacuum carpet and dust mop and wet mop hard floors.
• Keep bathrooms clean, sanitized, and stocked.
• Identify issues with buildings and equipment and request work orders.
• Maintain regular attendance to demonstrate dependability.
• Learn new tasks quickly.
• Communicate effectively with peers and managers.
• Work after hours and weekends for events at the Performing Arts Center.
