The P&C Business Analyst at Capgemini will play a crucial role in technology-driven projects, leveraging their extensive experience to gather and analyze business requirements, facilitate communication between IT and business stakeholders, and ensure that system designs align with business needs. This position requires a strong understanding of various technologies and methodologies, particularly in the insurance domain, to enhance legacy systems and integrate solutions effectively.

  • Gather business requirements through various techniques such as interviews, surveys, workshops, and use cases.
  • Analyze and document business requirements using Business Requirements Templates, Use Cases, and diagram-based documentation tools.
  • Evaluate the impact of business requirement changes on project scope and timeline.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to rationalize and prioritize business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into software requirement specifications.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure system designs align with business needs.
  • Assist with system integration and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Act as a liaison between IT and business stakeholders to foster strong relationships and ensure effective communication.
  • Facilitate meetings between IT project teams and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate newly developed features and functionalities to application SMEs as part of Sprint reviews.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on technology-driven projects with 10-12 years in IT overall.
  • Experience in client-facing roles for at least 5 years.
  • Strong understanding and experience with Java Spring Framework, Oracle 19c Database, AutoSys Agent 12.x, and UI portal frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Tomcat, JBoss, RedHat Linux 7.x, IBM MQ Server 9.2.x, JBOSS EAP x.7, and Splunk Enterprise 9.0.x.
  • Understanding of application integrations between underwriting apps and downstream systems.
  • Claims Insurance certification is an advantage.
  • Experience in enhancing legacy systems and integrating/configuring packaged solutions.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and Sprint reviews is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a team player, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Prior experience in software engineering is a plus.
