The Oxygen Delivery Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that home medical equipment, particularly oxygen systems, is delivered safely and efficiently to patients in their homes. This position requires a thorough understanding of DOT and FDA regulations related to oxygen delivery. The technician is responsible for loading equipment and supplies into the delivery vehicle, determining the best daily routes for timely deliveries, and providing orientation to patients on the proper use and maintenance of the equipment. The technician acts as a representative of the company, addressing any issues that may arise during the delivery process and ensuring that all paperwork related to deliveries and pickups is completed accurately and promptly. In addition to delivery responsibilities, the technician is also involved in the cleaning and disinfecting of rental equipment, assisting with minor repairs, and maintaining inventory levels. The role requires excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and clients, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with co-workers, including respiratory therapists and patient care coordinators. The technician must maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company uniform standards while promoting the company positively in all interactions. The position is full-time, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, and may require on-call duties as needed. The technician must demonstrate timeliness, courtesy, and patience when dealing with patients and clients, ensuring a high level of customer service at all times.
