Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 6–10+ years of experience in owner’s representation, development management, construction management, design, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of project delivery methods and construction processes.
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, and consultant teams.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and client service.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the owner’s interests throughout planning, design, construction, and closeout.
  • Manage assigned projects from early planning through occupancy with oversight from senior leadership.
  • Support the development of project goals, scope, schedules, and delivery strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal staff, consultants, contractors, and agencies to ensure alignment with owner objectives.
  • Assist in the development of facility master plans, feasibility studies, and due diligence efforts.
  • Evaluate owner needs and help translate them into project requirements.
  • Support the selection and implementation of appropriate project delivery methods (Design Bid Build, Design Build, CM/GC).
  • Prepare and manage RFQ/RFP processes for consultants and contractors.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts.
  • Track project costs, change orders, and contingencies.
  • Review consultant and contractor contracts and assist with negotiations.
  • Support financing documentation, progress billing reviews, and lien/claim releases.
  • Verify insurance and bonding requirements for project participants.
  • Review plans and specifications for compliance with scope, budget, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage design and construction coordination, including submittals, RFIs, and meeting documentation.
  • Participate in site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and conformance with contract documents.
  • Support implementation of sustainability, energy efficiency, and performance goals.
  • Coordinate permitting efforts and track approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist with agency coordination and response to review comments.
  • Organize and participate in project meetings.
  • Prepare clear progress updates for owners and senior leadership.
  • Support issue resolution, conflict mitigation, and claims documentation as needed.
  • Assist with project closeout, commissioning, and turnover documentation.
  • Support warranty management and post occupancy issue resolution.
  • Contribute to lessons learned and process improvement efforts.
  • Work under the guidance of senior Owner’s Representatives or Project Executives.
  • May provide informal guidance or mentoring to junior staff or interns.
  • Coordinate closely with planners, designers, consultants, and contractors.
