About The Position
The Data Center New Construction Owner's Representative/Sr. Project Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of Data Center construction projects. This role requires a demonstrated ability to oversee vendor compliance with construction agreements while managing the overall project budget and schedule for various sized, complex projects, including Hyperscale Data Centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) construction management and a solid track record of managing capital projects. This position is based onsite in Omaha, Nebraska, and involves close collaboration with contractors and the A&E (Architecture and Engineering) design team to establish the Master Project Timeline and Budget, ensuring that all project milestones are met efficiently and effectively. In this role, the Sr. Project Manager will work closely with contractors to support pre-qualification, bid solicitation, and bid analysis, making recommendations based on thorough evaluations. The position also involves coordinating design team activities and ensuring that all necessary city and authority approvals, permitting, and constructability reviews are completed in a timely manner. The project manager will be responsible for gathering cost estimates, managing cost and change control processes, and ensuring that all key project documents are tracked and enforced. Additionally, the role includes periodic confirmation of safe construction practices by general contractors and vendors, initiating the close-out process prior to project completion, and ensuring that all close-out documentation requirements are met. The Sr. Project Manager will also negotiate and resolve any outstanding change orders, quality issues, or disputes, ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget.
