About The Position

The OWL BAR BARTENDER at Sundance Mountain Resort is responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks, with a focus on quality and presentation. This position requires providing friendly and efficient service to guests, engaging with them to understand their preferences and make drink recommendations. The bartender must maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensure compliance with beverage and health regulations, and collaborate with barbacks, servers, and kitchen staff to fulfill guest orders promptly and accurately. The role also involves entering orders into the point of sale system, processing payments, and managing cash transactions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bartender in a high-volume bar or restaurant environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of mixology, drink recipes, and beverage trends.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, multitask, and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess or obtain a valid food handlers permit within 30 days of employment.
  • Must possess or obtain a valid alcohol service permit within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
