About the position

We’re looking for a Senior Graphic Designer who is a masterful storyteller with a track record of design excellence, relentless curiosity, and a drive to elevate those around them. This role demands a strategic thinker and collaborative leader who can transform complex insights into compelling narratives while delivering innovative design solutions that shape the future of the Owala brand. With a deep passion for creativity, they stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies, ensuring their work remains fresh, relevant, and impactful. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Art Director and brand partners to shape and drive the graphic strategy and vision, working alongside teams of designers, developers, and product managers to deliver creative work that aligns with the Owala Design Ethos. This role requires exceptional teamwork, the ability to meet deadlines, and a clear communication style to ensure design feasibility and effectively articulate the thinking behind your work to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-impact creative solutions across digital, print, retail, and experiential platforms to enhance brand visibility and drive business growth.
  • Uphold and refine brand identity, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints through well-executed design systems and scalable templates.
  • Lead art direction for video and photography shoots, delivering dynamic, on-brand content that resonates with diverse audiences while adhering to budget parameters.
  • Oversee the development of e-commerce assets, including product imagery, digital campaigns, packaging, and promotional materials, ensuring a cohesive brand experience.
  • Craft compelling visual narratives that translate strategic objectives into engaging, consumer-centric storytelling.
  • Partner with UX designers, engineers, and marketers to optimize digital experiences through thoughtful design and seamless functionality.
  • Mentor and support junior designers, fostering creativity, collaboration, and professional growth within the team.
  • Continuously explore emerging design trends, tools, and technologies to push creative boundaries and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Balance creativity with efficiency, ensuring all projects meet brand standards, deadlines, and budget constraints without compromising innovation.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions with strategic, forward-thinking design recommendations that elevate the brand’s creative direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in 360 campaigns, digital and print media, art direction for photo and video, and editorial layout.
  • Ability to balance creative excellence with business objectives, adapting to shifting priorities while maintaining high-quality output.
  • Strong conceptual thinker with a keen eye for typography, composition, and color theory.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) with advanced knowledge of Figma.
  • Deep understanding of visual culture, emerging design trends, and brand storytelling.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and drive creative solutions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of presenting design concepts effectively to cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail is a plus.
  • Experience in illustration, motion graphics, animation, or interactive design (After Effects, Cinema 4D, or similar) is a plus.
