About The Position
Overnight Yard Jockey (Full-Time) Location: Woonsocket, RI Pay: $27.00 /hour (+ Overtime) Schedule: Starts at 7:00PM until completion of job. Sunday - Thursday // Monday - Friday Essential Duties and Responsibilities Works with loaders and warehouse management to move trucks and trailers from one location to another according to door assignments. Checks to ensure that each truck/trailer is sealed with bulkheads and the refrigeration unit is operating correctly and running. Ensures the truck or trailer is completely loaded and secured before moving from the dock area. Ensures truck equipment is charged. Arranges trucks and trailers on the yard in an orderly and efficient manner. Helps keep the truck yard free of debris and trash. Adhere to all safety practices and company policies and food safety principles. Immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions. Attend all required company meetings. Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisor/management.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) from the state of residence
- Clean driving record
- Willing to work nights, weekends, overtime, and holidays
- Able to lift and move up to 75 lbs. regularly
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
